benefited women married by customary law in December, 2003; Domestic Violence Law of 2018; Affirmative Action of 2016; The Liberia Rape Law of 2006; The Land Rights Law of 2018;
Liberia Freedom to Information Law of 2010; Liberia National Action Plan; The Liberia Gender Policy 2008; The 2020 Sexual Gender Based Violence Roadmap;
To date, women who are amongst the minorities can have equal ownership claims to their ancestral lands and equal rights to use and manage community land.
WONGOSOL is part of the land governance bodies of Liberia. The Constitution Review Process; Simplified, distributed and held a nationwide policy dialogue on the UNSCR 1325 and the Liberia National Action Plan;
Electoral Reform of 2020, and Popularization of the AU protocol 2014. Currently WONGOSOL alongside other CSOs, international partners and the
Ministry of Gender Children Social Protection are lobbying with the National Legislature for the amendment of certain sections of the New Elections Law of 1986, the Drugs Law of Liberia and the Public Health Law of Liberia.
WONGOSOL has staff with many years of experience, qualification and expertise to manage and implement programs and projects over USD $500,000. WONGOSOL has implemented programs and projects funded by the UN Women,
the USAID through the Liberia Accountability and Voice Initiative (LAVI) with focus on Monitoring Human Rights Violation amid COVID-19 Pandemic, Electoral Reform and Election Coordinating Committee. Other projects and programs
include: Access to Justice and Raising Poor and Marginalized Women Voices in Liberia funded by Ibis- Oxfam and Oxfam GB Women Access to information funded by the Carter Center. Advocacy and Influencing for Social Economic Rights
and Justice for Women and Youth funded by Oxfam, Rural women participation in peace building funded by Kvinna Till Kvinna, The Joint Gender and HIV Project supported by UNDP, Women participation and GBV Response funded by Kvinna
till Kvinna, the EBOLA Community Action Platform USAID through Mercy Corps, Civil Society and Media Leadership Program funded USAID through IREX.
